Our school in the historic Kensington/Normal heights neighborhoods draws both neighborhood children and students who come from all over the district to attend our school because its strong support and programs for students aimed at engaging and raising academic achievement. While the majority of our students are eligible for the free and reduced lunch program, our students, staff and community partners are all focused on their success.
Our school offers a support teacher devoted just to our English language learners, to speed them on their way to complete fluency.
One of our successful programs in creating a culture of success in school is our Adams Way program that focuses on character development. Teaching students the building blocks of behavior has improved the climate of our campus. With less distractions, students feel safer and more engaged.
Our staff is truly filled with dedicated professionals who develop innovative ways both small and large to help students achieve grade-level proficiencies. Our teachers participate in professional development and collaborate as a team to keep all students on track.
